AC Shadows Reveals Bizarre AoT Collaboration for Holiday Season
In a surprising partnership that defies usual expectations, Ubisoft has revealed an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.
Strange Questline Revealed
According to the official release, "A mysterious confrontation draws protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where hints of prohibited practices and terrifying transformations echo through the obscurity." The plot features a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who charges the characters with venturing into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a secret group.
The mission focuses on "bizarre trials and a monstrous enemy" and is accessible to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Locations and Changes
The preview features the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This important location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The preview ends with a dramatic sequence showing a character, likely the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Prizes and Extra Features
Players who accomplish the adventure will obtain an unique katana in addition to multiple items secreted throughout the area in secret chests. The update also includes in-store Attack on Titan item packs, including:
- Titan-based attire for Yasuke
- Mikasa attire for Naoe

Latest Free Story Update
This release also adds the game's newest no-cost story addition, titled "The Enigma."
